Hello everyone.
I've been lurking all winter, gaining insight and hopefully some knowledge waiting for the riding season to start. With the bikes put up for the winter didn't have anything to contribute.
Anyhow, long story short - a trip for parts resulted in a bigger bike for me. Found a 2006 Honda Shadow VLX that was too sweet a deal to pass up.
The first practice session in a parking lot I was having so much fun, I forgot the hubby might be worried about me riding the new bike, he hopped on the Rebel and came looking figuring I was down somewhere. Nope, just off having so much fun I lost track of time.
I'm still get used to the bigger bike, so I'm sticking to short jaunts and or familiar routes. I gain more confidence each ride I take and am looking forward to putting the miles on this summer.
Thanks everyone for your posts, sharing your stories, knowledge and insight. It was great to read over the long winter and windy spring months. I hope to add some of our riding stories soon.

Gotta admit the Shadow is an awesome ride. The Rebel was great but... Each time I get on the Shadow, I fall in love with her all over again!
Follow - I haven't mentioned LOE to the spouse yet, but depending on the work schedule, it might be a possibility this year.
