building a wiring harness

I really need to rebuild my aging wireing harness. I'm trying to iron out some problems I'm having... but I think I'm just chasing my tail without a solid electrical base.
Anyway I need a pile of connectors and all colors of wire to get me started... where can I get some good solid weather tight connectors

your local industrial/commercial electrical supply company should be able to help you out with everything from the connectors needed, wire, and the proper tools to do the job right. They should also be able to give you pointers on the best way to go about the task.

sometimes it is easier and cheaper to get a good used wiring harness and replace the whole thing.

yeah, I have two already... butt connectors still suck, and considering the relocations that I'm doing and how much better connectors are out there I can do a lot better today.

yeah I agree, new wires, and better connectors, plus a circuit diagram that you have made as you build your harness is probably the best thing to do.
Thats my plan for this winter anyway, when I have 7 feet of snow outside.
On an unrelated note, are frames on 70's yamahas powder coated or many layers of paint?
