I bought an 83 honda magna 750c, the front turn signals will come on but won't blink if you flip the switch over. the rear ones won't come on at all. I checked all the fuses and looked for any pinched wires under the seat and tank with no luck anyone have any other ideas??

The front should come on when the key is turned on. Get a manual so you can find the flasher unit on your bike. When the switch is flipped over the flasher unit should click.

Thanks for the tips guys i checked the bulbs before i posted this and they all look good and i don't have a manual but i think i found the flasher and there is no clicking sound, but i'm gonna try to find a manual anyway for future reference.

Not sure about checking battery this is my first bike, is it the same as testing a car battery? The bike starts and runs fine it just needs the clutch master cylinder rebuilt and a new flasher unit i'm thinking.

Had the exact same problem with my 83 nighthawk 550sc. everything worked great at first then I washed the bike for the first time. After 2 days of trouble shooting I removed the signal relay and drained the water out of it, Worked just fine after that.

I would try the relay first, it;s cheap and they do wear out after a while.

Did you install a new starter switch on the right handlebar? When working properly, the headlights are ON with the key ON and the button at rest in the out position. When the button is depressed, the headlights go OUT and the starter circuit engages. Did you check the clutch lever safety switch on the handlebars, too? buy cialis

I am sure you have probably resolved the problem by now. I have a 2003 Spirit, and had the same type of problem and I found where the wire under the seat plugs into the wire running to the rear signal had became loose but not fallen apart. Check the connector plugs and it may solve your problem.
