We all do our best (moderators, myself and even members) in spotting these spam posts. I did get to it as fast as I could and even stopped about 800 from going out too, that's why many didn't get them. Only about 45 members actually got the message and about 10 of them let me know right away about out so I could stop it.
We have strict security to login as a member, no computer or Bot can do it, it has to be a human with a valid email address (who then verifies it's valid). Then it's all human by-hand work to actually spam. 99.999% of spammers won't bother once they have to do all this and then see we have lots of active moderators who watch the forum 24/7 as well.
Sorry for the inconvenience, it's only happend one other time in 6 years.
