A more appropriate title I guess would Czech's abound. Today as I was leaving work a Chev Pick UP leading a gaggle of around 6 fairly large dual-sport bikes pulled into our parking lot. Thing that caught my eye were the heavy duty metal top cases and paniers along with the HUGE gas tanks, then I spotted the Euro plates and Czech Republic & European Union stickers on the plates.
Had to go over and at least say hi and to see if I could help, seems my firm arranged the air freight of their bikes and they had to drop off some papers and keys for a late arriving rider.
Since I don't speak Czech and they had a smattering of English, communication was a tad bit difficult but doable. They are riding a mix of KTM's with a BMW and Honda tossed in, models I don't think I have seen here in North America. Sadly I didn't have my camera with me today. But the tanks of the bikes had been modified and enlarged, the KTM's holding some 38 litres of fuel and the Honda an astounding 42 litres, and remember, these aren't your sport touring or touring bikes.
Turns out they are a group of extreme tourers who are heading up to Alaska and have already traveled Mongolia and other exotic areas. (Lucky bas tards) They seem like a good bunch of fellows so if you see them, wave hi.
