Smoke on startup

I just bought an 1987 Goldwing with 33,000 miles. It runs great but smokes on startup. Should I be worried?

Nah. I hear that's typical for Wings, especially if you lean it over on the sidestand while parked.

Thanks! You have taken a load off my mind. It is my first heavy bike, and first bike in over 25 years, I love it.

That's a low mileage Wing, especially considering the year. Congrats on the lucky find!

Bad valve guide seals, bike will run forever like that. Or pull the head, and replace them.
