I have a buell lighting andit has the flat track bars on it, I am thinking about going to clip ons. Did it take time to get use to them. I know the clip ons that buell has is a bit higher then most. So you guys ans gals that have them do you like them????

I LOVE clipons. I hate wide, flat bars. Really depends on YOUR body, though. I'm a light weight with a lot of abdominal strength, so that allowed me to refrain from putting any weight through my arms on the grips themselves, and still be leaned over enough so that my back was comfortable and straight.

It really depends on how you are planning to use the XB. Also I assume the clip ons you are thinking of will mount above the triple?

The clip ons on my CBR600RR are below the triple clamp. I love it as it gives me so much control and it makes the bike so amazingly fun. The only downside is that my wrist goes a little numb sometimes during a long ride and I have to shake it off. As far as my back or abs, I have no problem whatsoever.

Also the longer your arms, less the lean towards the bars.

I'd think through this a bit before you go wild. Clip ons are really different at first and they feel great. However, are you using your Buell just for go fast and twisty. Or are you using it for more than just canyon carving. I've always found that if you're using your bike as your primary or not so primary transportation there are better bars without going to wide track bars. I like clubman bars though there are probably better choices that may fit you better. just a thought.

Photos or it didnt' happen!!! ;)

Actually this is the only problem I'm having with my monster.

My balls are being crushed up on the tank, so I put more weight on my arms to hold me back so this hurts my arms :(

I hope the touring seat fixes it.

I will be use it for the fast and twisty. I look at the clubman bars and the stock clip ons from buell, The are pretty much the same.. same height . so as they feel the same I just think the clip ons look better to me... My stock bar(XB12STT) are only a 1.5" taller . I rode some other bikes with clip ons and the hurt my wrists but they seen to angle down and the Buells seem straghter. I sat on a XB12R and it felt good so I am going with them come winter.

PS thank you all for the help...

well I did change my bars already .. I went with superbike bars, they are a inch lower and a inch wider then stock, so that's puts me about 3" lower. the bike feels better and handles better with less input. I think I pick the bars that fit me the best.
