One really sad bit of news is the Michel Mercier's son, Maxime had a fatal racing accident at Shannonville last week.

For non-Canadian's or those not familar with Michel, he's a multi-time Canadian Superbike champ and owner of the FAST Racing School.

Never good to hear about someone dying on the track. Sucks hard ones.

i knew max -- actually he was my exboyfriend. i found out a couple weeks after his accident. its so sad and apparently hes not the one that screwed up, it was the other one involved. but at least he left happy doing what he loves, and he saw his family within 30 minutes of it. i suppose im trying to say that its so sad...but at least he got to leave in a better way than some.
