Tomorrow, is my big day so to speak.

1st surgery slot tomrrow, your's truly gets her knee worked on. It's just a mass of, well, mess of bits of tendons and ligaments right now with my kneecap in pieces. They are going to rebuild it. The surgery team was in earlier and they are very positive so confidence levels are high. I aready know I'll lose some funtionality but they think that I will walk again and even ride.

So all those out there that still know how to pray, would you at least give me a nod. I've not been terribly good but I don't want to end up crippled. I know this is a poor request for people I don't even know and probably upset a lot but soon they'll come in with the shot and Ill wake up sometime tomorrow afternoon.

My helmet came in today and it sits where I can see it. It beautiful with the custom paint I had ordered special. I'll ride again.

The shattered kneepad is with the club where their holdiong a drunk in my honor. Kind of wierd but fitting.

This plea for a prayer was Laurie's idea. She said it wouldn't hurt so hey, here I am.

I have no regrets. I hurt myself worse by sucking up the pain and helping the guys in the truck. As of this afternoon they were alive and breathing on their own. God works in small favors.

Anyway see you tomorrow.

Thanks everyone for just being there the short time I've known you all.

I don't pray or believe in a god, however my thoughts are with you.

Having gone through a similar experience and having my leg rebuilt, I can empathize with what you are going through right now. However, at the end of it all you will be up and riding again soon. Just don't wait 13 years like I did.

Good luck and I look forward to hearing a good post-op report from your tomorrow.........and future bi ching about rehab and physio

Dang. Having knee problems myself I can relate.
Im curious as to what they are going to rebuild, surprised they are not going to throw in a titanium replacement and have at it.

Glad to know you have a trained care giver beside you during your ordeal, just remember to do all the PT and be good about it. You will be in my thoughts, I hope your surgery goes well, I hope someone will post on how you are doing.

Good Luck with the surgery, Alex. I have no doubt you will come through just fine and be up and walking ahead of doctors orders...... no question of that.

Then you'll be out riding and making the doc pull his hair out in no time.

In the meantime, enjoy the drugs and heal, eh.

Keep your new beautiful, custom paint hemlet that you ordered special in mind and you'll want to ride again so badly your body will heal right up. :D

Best of recoveries!
