New thread same old topic, but this topic just never seems to go away!
Anyway My wife and I where going to the movie, we decided to take my bike (she does not ride her own, but she has ridden with me a lot). We where on a four lane road divided by a concrete median of about 4 feet no street lights.
We where in the left lane with a car to the right of me ( I was equal to their front bumper). We where on straight away and i noticed that there was a car coming toward me but he was to the left (looked like he was in the correct lane) about 100 yards before we where to meet the road curved left! going into this left curve I come to the realization that this car (turned out to be a Lincoln Contential) was on the wrong side of the road and was coming straight at me! I reacted and a couple of counter steers later i am in the right lane making the left hand curve, with a car right on my back tire and falling back fast. About this time i remebered that my wife was with me. Thank god we have ridden togetherlong enough that she did not hesate on what we did she just moved with me. She did it so well I don't think I could have done better by my self. Got to the next stoplight the other car pulled up next to me, and told me that he saw it the same time I did and hit his brakes. I am glad that I decided to swerve instead of hitting the brakes, because i would of had no where to go! We are alive and well and when we got home my wife told me to park behind the Blazer so we could just go inside. I normally park my bike in front of the Blazer, next to the garage.
