For those of you who may have tried their brews, you can understand my elation. I made the trip out to Shiner today for the tour. If magic ever existed, it's definitely there. Got to try all of their brews straight from the source and got a neat tour. Turns out they produce 400,000 bottles a day, from just one assembly/brew line, and with only 50 total employees for the entire company. If you like Shiner, you should definitely make the trip sometime. The coolest thing I found was a smoker they used to hand smoke all the grains for their new helles style "smokehaus".

Is that Shiner Bock you're talking about? I had a friend (from Texas) who had a whole converted fridge kegerator devoted to Shiner Bock... lol

Ya, Shiner Bock is their most famous brew, but they have many other great ones as well. Shiner Bock is near religious status out here.

Hey Amdonim -- Chiles sometime had Shiner Bock on draft. Albertson's and Kroger carry Shiner. Lots of stores carry Shiner.
Also Shiner has a Shiner Black and it's a very smooth beer.

My friend Katie has been raving about Shiner's beer for a while now, I've been meaning to try it but I keep getting pulled towards the dark belgian beers that come in stoppered bottles with metal clasps.
