Good Service???

Have you ever gone into a dealer or repair shop and had crappy service? I think just about everyone I know can come up with a horror story or three.

Well today was a little bit different, I was riding through UFO central, Roswell NM and the bike had been shifting bad which is a sure sign this puppy needs new oil. It has been at least 4000+ miles since an oil change happened and it was time.

Riding down 2nd street in Roswell, I chanced upon a motorcycle repair shop. Went in to see what the chances of getting an oil change were. Well as I walk past the shop door, I can see at least 5 lifts and every one is got a bike on it, no problem, I still ask. The owner says, "Maybe late this afternoon." Well I just say thanks and tell him I'm on the road and just going through town, have a nice day. He tells me to wait a minute and says that he's waiting on parts so he'll zip me through and I can get on my way. Seriously, this guy went out of his way to get me on my way. When I paid my bill, I added another $20 so he could take the crew for some beer after work. The guys in the shop liked that idea....

Now, is this considered advertising or just a fairly earned plug???

Job well done guys....

Well i for one am glad to see somebody talking about good service, not bad service. Usually when people have a bad experience somewhere they will tell everyone who will listen about it and try to get everyone to avoid that certain shop. You never really hear about the good times though....

I work at a bike shop ( Pedal Bike ) as a sales guy and our service guys occasionally get cases of beer for squeezing somebody in for a quick tune. I have never had or seen the same happen at a motorcycle shop though, i wish it was more of a common occurrence. I'm glad to hear that there are shops out there who are willing to go the extra mile, makes me think that there is still some customer service left in the world of motor sports.

Best shop I've ever been to was Pasadena Honda in Houston. My dad and I are like family there (and with about $25000 in purchases, we should be). I always look forward to having to get work done in Houston.

Cycle Center of Denton. Have only bought a jacket there but they know me by name and greet me (and everyone else) instantly upon arrival. Awesome guys, great service.

Roswell? It must have been aliens running the shop.
