depends on where you are, but worth remembering that ducati's (i believe) have a much more frequent servicing requirement, so you'd have to factor that into your costs

Never bought a Duck, though I was interested at one point and always got the MSRP quoted or slightly less.
A lot of people tend to think that the pricing for them is huge -- but there are more elite rides out there. I don't know how many dealers would be willing to bend exorborantly on price, seeing as how they are pretty much hand built and only a limited number see their way to the North American markets.
Good Luck

Difference between 620 and 620 dark are a few.
Dark:
Only available in matte black finish
5 speeds instead of 6
Lack of small windscreen
I think the dark also has the 2nd disc up front optional, whereas I think it's standard on the 620
By the way, this is only from what I've researched... since I've been looking into making it my next ride. It's the maintenance that scares me

It's not the initial price of a Ducati that's going to break you...it's the costly maintenance and parts.

only a 500 difference (canadian kash) between the dark and (ummm) non-dark(?). I'd pay the extra buckages...

But I've ne'er ridden a ride so sweet...I think it'd be worth every penny...I suppose I'll find out first hand in the next year or two...
