yike bike and off topic

#1 Unread post by redwing »

Hey have you seen the yike bike??? I think it's a Honda. 8) I'll bet it attaches to the Goldwing. (not true)

It appears to have a carbon-fiber skin and my guess is a cost of $1500.00. One hundred European Dollars can reserve one for u.??? I would like one; but so impractical. However ......

That is kind of whack.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Brilliant. It will sell well in big centers, such as London. The fact that it folds up into a small package means it can be taken on the underground and trains.

Says it is designed and built in New Zealand.

This thing is a sexy Ferrari when placed beside a Segway.

Cool!

Once I figured out where one would sit, I decided I don't really want to try one.

Wow, at a projected $5800cdn I think a lot of people will hang on to their Brompton's.

Still, it offers a lot of neat technology like speed limiting (including downhill) and anti-skid braking for safety.

The seating position actually makes much more sense than a conventional bicycle when you really look at it.

I really like it, just wish it was not quite so expensive. Guess I will have to keep my homemade unit.

Not a bad idea, but that's GOT to be unstable!
Anyone ever try to ride their bicycles (coasting down a hill) by sitting on their handlebars? I know I'm not the only one here! It's not very stable! I have the scars to prove it... Not sure I'd trust one of those in a quickish maneuver.

Still a good idea though!

Since the front wheel is almost right under you, wouldn't you shoot forward if you had to brake suddenly?

Thumper ... I think it has ABS but a quick would scare anyone....maybe one might slide off the seat.... and shouldn't the rider wear some sort of helmet???...
Amdonim, hey it's just a seat and everyone could see the rider bust his azz ??? What fun..
At $5800.00 I won't be buying one. But a used Road King maybe.
Hey Paul246 ... is that a motor on your bike?
