Greetings from South Louisiana

Hello friends. I'm 43 years old and just bought my first motorcycle in over 18 years. Back then my wife was pregnant for our oldest. I promised to stop riding, but not forever. Now, the kids (and me) are older, and I convinced the Mrs. I would be careful.

I looked for about 6 months and determined that the bike I wanted is no longer made. No disrespect to anyone, but the riding position for the crotch rocket isn't appealing. And the cruiser bike just isnt' me either. So, I decided I would wait unitl an older naked sport bike in good condition came around.

I found a 1884 CB700 SC Nighthawk S model for sale within 10 miles of my house. Guy was asking $1,500.00 and would not budge. The bike is in good shape, so I gave it to him. I'll post a couple of pictures in your photo gallery.

I'm having an absolute blast. The members of the Nighthawks Forum page have been incredibly helpful.

So, I'm looking for anyone in the South Louisiana area that might be interested in riding. I prefer the back country roads. I'm not equiped (or ready) for an overnight ride, but I can handle 100-150 miles allright.

Looking forward to reading your forum - thanks.

Pictures are posted in the Honda photo galleries. Bike is red, white, and blue. Rode it about 50 miles this afternoon through the back country roads around my house. Having a blast.

Wish I could meet some riders in my neck of the sticks. There's safety in numbers.
