Anyone in the Vancouver BC area thinking about a last ride for the season ?

Depending on the weather of course.

Wasn't there one last year?

I for one would be up for that, my insurance is good til mid-November.

When did you have in mind for this? I could go on a Wednesday or Thursday.
How about you, ceemes? Can you go on a weekday?

You guys don't have a clue what winter is. Spend a winter in the 'Peg...I mean the whole winter...No matter where you are it will give you an appreciation for the winter you have back home. Unless you live in The Pas...winter might be slightly worse up there...and in Churchill...but the 'Peg is about as bad as it gets.

I dunno, this winter I'll be in a place where you can use snowmobiles as an honest source of transportation. And that's further south than any of you Canuckistanians, including you Fargo...
I like the cold though, 0 degrees F, a fleece jacket, jeans, and I'm happy.
It takes some serious cold, like -10 with wind or -20 to get me to actually wear a coat.

I spent a winter up North several years ago. I do know what real winter is. Nose hairs feeze, you can't take a deep breath, you have to wear a tougue down low and a scarf pulled up over your nose and a pair of goggles over your eyes and constant snow shovelling...would I do it again? yes.

The alpenglow, the zillion stars at night, nightly light displays, pristine snow, shadows at night because the moonlight is so bright, snow that crunches, camaraderie.....

I spent 2 years working in Edmonton, it dropped to -40 both winters. My wife actually started crying with joy when I told her the company was transferring us back to Vancouver !!.

And yes, I can swing a week day, lol , I am a sales guy !!
