The time has come for me to go for my M license from the M2. We have a graduated licensing system in Ontario. I'm doing my test at the ministry and was wondering what to expect and if you have any advice.

Thanks

Our course instructors told us don't forget your head checks. They said we could lose 280 ish points just for not doing checks. Blindspots, looking back when you come to a stop making sure no cager coming up your six. Checking your mirriors every 10 seconds or so.

Make sure that your bike is working properly, lights signals etc. My left turn signal stopped working midway through the test. Examiner was not pleased. Had to use hand signals and she made sure there were lots of left turns.
Try to find out the route of the test. Ask other riders where they went. Failing that plot as many routes as possible and ride them. Pay attention to traffic lights and whether your bike activates them.
When you are told to do something make sure it is safe to do so. Exaggerate your head turns so that the examiner can see that you are looking. I put a verticle reflective strip down the back of my helmet so that head turns could be seen more easily. It also is good for night driving.
Ride in all weather conditions. And when you know the time of the test practice then. You will get a feel for the traffic.
Pay attention to your position in the lane. You want to be in the blocking spot.
good luck.

Motorcycle riding is not only for the fun and adventure experience but helps to save from the transportation expense. The driver usually obtain this license after passing certain studies required in the country where you live. Although still in the process of learning, you may be given a temporary or student's allow.
