buell blast

hello i have a 2003 buell blast its very cold natured if you can get it to idle for a few minutes it runs fine but getting it to stay running when cold is almost impossible what can i check or change to make it easier to start? any help is greatly appreciated by the way i got it used and it has about 5000 miles on it
