Removing license plate holder.

Just wanted to ask the sport bike riders (crotch rockets) have any of you taken off the plastic license plate holder and attached the plate underneath the seat? Is there a kit that I can buy or is it just winging it? The lights (turn signals) and everything are attached to this plastic piece that hangs down from the seat... I'm interested in doing this to a R6.
Thanks in advance,
Dennis

You can do it yourself very cheap depending on the bike. Type fender eliminator and your bike (ex: fender eliminator and R6) into a search engine.
Popular places that I know of are Holeshot (my FE is a holeshot as is the hugger which helps when you get rid of your fender). Competition Werkes (spelled werkes), Oneida, etc.
However, be sure to check local laws to make sure it's legal in your state. Some laws require license plate lights, etc. Prices run anywhere from $60-$210.
