idle adjustment on a inline cb750 motor
I just bought a motorcycle and it has an inline cb750 motor on it and when i start it the idle is so high i have to keep it choked in fear the motor will blow what do i do....

Well, there are several generations of the CB750. I own one that belongs to the generation made from '91-'03. What year is your bike?
If your bike is in the years same as mine, then look at the carbs, there is a black knob sticking out from the bottom right in the middle of the four of them. Turn it only a little while the bike is idling. If it idles higher, turn it the other way, in small increments, to adjust the idle.
If this doesn't work, check the air box (where the air filter goes), is there an air filter in there?
Check the black rubber boots between the air box and the carbs, and between the carbs and the engine. Make sure you don't see any cracking or damage there.
