hot light comes on no fan

03 vtx 1300 hot light comes on fans off,not over heating .

There should be a thermo-switch on the radiator that controls the light.

I'll bet either the fan switch or the fan has gone bad. If you take some wires and directly connect them to the fan, that will tell you which one it is. If it turns on then it's the fan switch, if not it's the fan itself.

I have an 03 shadow saber. There is a fuse dedicated to the fan. I would think there is one on your bike also. Check that first.
