The coldest winter ever was the summer I spent in the Bay area.

With me it's not so much the current air temp as the temp that it was at my destination (i.e. work) overnight. Princeton is 30 miles north of here and colder. The road my employer is on I swear must have springs under the road - it's never dry except during a summer drought. If it has been below freezing up there overnight, sure as heck there will be ice on that road. Like this morning - 36 here when I left, but ice patches on the road up there. Motorcycles + ice = very bad. This is why I own a car!

Got up to 8 degrees today!
But we've just gotten a pretty darn good snowstorm, so all kinds of idiots on the road getting stuck...
It's really cold when it's -30 windchill, you're trying to help a car out of a snowstorm, and you forgot your gloves and hat.

2 weeks ago it was above freezing and pretty nice for this time of year here as well.

Then it snowed a foot and got dam nippley. Then the wind picked up and now all the snow is gone from any flat ground and drifted 4 ft deep around buildings and on the driveway.....

The next person who says "But it has to snow at Christmas...." to me gets a punch in the face. :x
