Greetings,
I have a 1957 Thunderbird 6T. It has the "Ramp Cams". The Cam
gears themselves have not a timing mark 1 on them! The center gear has
all the marks on it as does the crank gear. As the engine came to me already disassembled I have no way of telling what is what. None of the
manuals I have make mention of cam gears with no timing marks. I
know from past experience some industrial engines use the key way
as a starting timing mark. I do not feel this is the case here though.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me??????

Respectfully Submitted,
Siccatt

Thanks for the response. Your pictures are the ones I have also. There
are no pictures of cam ends showing key way location. My gears show no wear. They appear to never had any marks at all. That is why I need a picture of a cam showing an end view, that way I could see the relationship of the key way to the cam gear timing mark. Please this
is driving me up the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks and Happy New Year, Siccatt :frusty:

If you have this book you must know the cams are in the right position as represented in the picture.

Wow!!!!!!!! Out of my manuals I do not have that diagram!

Would it be possible for you to show me the manual you are using?
If not too much trouble could you scan in that section if I am unable
to obtain the manual? I have an original "shop" manual for the 5T
6T and T100, as well as an original factory 6T manual, and a Clymer
service manual. I have not seen anything as extensive as what you
are showing.

Thanks so much for your interest in this matter.
Best Regards, Siccatt
