Hi guys, what do you think for the respray, got my hands on an R850 R BMW. Put on a new screen, GS indicators and a stonking new pipe, but the color, YUUUEEGGHHH it sooooooo boring, so now I am saving pennies and want a respray
Would appreciate your input, looking for a streetfighter look to this bike.
Old pipe weighs more than me I think, blaahh

Black or White is just as "boring" as the Gray, no?
I don't think the bike would look good in the Orange.
The two-tone would be interesting especially with the very unusual shape of the gas tank. Got any plans?
I always liked the Blue as well as the Green that the 850R came in. I almost bought a 1100R in 2000 but decided to wait for the 1150R that was announced to come out in late 2001 for the model year 2002.

I thought the metal flakes went out with the 70s.

Not in Germany, where the photo was taken, in 1984.

It was still pretty much all the rage at that time and I spent a fortune (by German standards - the CDN dollar was at 2,80DM then) on the Royal Blue paint with metal flake and diamond dust. It took 6 coats of clear before it smoothed out and I had a hell of a time getting the motor back into the frame without damaging the paint.

this guy, are you? Maybe mustache advice, but not paint options.....
A nice, deep, candy red would look good on that BMW....
