Can Rossi save Moto-GP again?
There will be others who disagree, but I think that the past 4-5 years in Moto-GP have been some of the most exciting ever. With the implementation of the 4 strokes, I was a doubter as were most GP fans, but coupled with massive investment by all of the factories, there has been some really great racing. Just when things started to look as though the Rossi-Honda combination was going to turn in to a Doohan-Honda style snoozefest for the fans Rossi threw everyone a curve and fled to Yamaha. There were many who said he was crazy, but this reignited the interest and the class seemed to go wide open. While Rossi won his first race last year on the Yamaha, it didn't appear to be easy, but now in mid-'05 he is looking to be completely untouchable once again. So with his contract coming up once again, will he do what no other rider would ever think of? Will he jump to an underdog team and prove to any remaining doubters that he is truely the greatest motorcycle rider of all time. It could happen! How about a green bike with Michelin tires and the ultimate rider? Time will tell in the next few months....
