I'm gonna be painting the nighthawk real soon, and i was thinking....

should i paint it Asphalt black (ie: 599) or metallic flake silver?

Anything but ..........PURPLE.....

I like both, but I'm more partial to silver. Only very sick people ride purple bikes........

Got a break in the rain, I think I'll go for a ride. If the sun don't come out, my bike ain't purple, so I'm good-4-go....

You just can't go wrong with black. Your nighthawk resembles my kz in general appearance, and I like my black/silver paint. Let me know if you want a pic. Of course, it's glossy due to clearcoat, but asphalt black would work nicely for that, too.

same bike i have, and i think the silver would look great. especially if you put the factory decals back on?

The flat black looks awsome, but for you... I'd say hot pink.

i was thinking about the silver for a long time, and then i saw the 599, and this 1982 nighthawk 450.
