Fixing Button on Textile Jacket?

Hey,

I was wondering how I should go about fixing this button on my textile jacket? A button fell off that holds the inner lining on. I was going to just sew it on myself, but the wasn't sure if there was a good way to do it? The material seems tough to use a needle through. Any suggestions?

well, if it's not a critical button or you don't normally have the inner lining in, i'm not sure i'd really worry about it. i'm not sure from your post where it is, but if it was just sewn on in the first place, sewing it back into place should work just fine.

The button is critical for the liner. I could leave it alone, since I don't think I will be using the liner a lot. Mostly I will be riding in warmer weather.

Hi

Have you turned the sleeve inside out yet? Most jackets will have an inner liner under the outer shell that you can sew the button to.
If you turn the sleeve inside out you should be able to see the remains of the threads that originally held the button. That should
answer your problem.
