I was looking at the above listed bike for sale in the web locally and I was wondering what you guys could tell me about it. Its a '96 Model.

I currently ride a 84 Honda cb650sc Nighthawk, but i'd love to give that bike to my father, and get something that would be a bit better for touring. I dont want a huge bike though, just something I can be comfortable on for several hours and that I can at least put saddlebags on. a sportyish windsheild would be nice too which the Seca has.

I'm a big guy, 6" 3" and 220 , but most of my hieght is in my torso. My inseam is only 32".

I know the best thing to do would be to go sit on the bike and take it for a spin, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with these bikes.
Would the seating position be a lot more "layed down" then on my honda?
Looks like it might be.

From what I know these bikes are very relible and will go on and on.Some people of complained about lack of power but these bikes are not sportsbikes.I knew a guy who had one and did quite a bit of touring although when he met his wife he traded up to the 900 as the 600 just felt a bit underpowered two up with luggage.

Yamaha's are reliable. I think this model would be good for solo and maybe a little underpowered for two up.

As far as the seating position, looks like standard Euro Sport Touring. Make sure you test drive it?

my friend jim has a seca2 its a 92 model, and i have your bike.

the pegs seem to be the same as the Nighthawk but you'll find you reach a tad farther for the bars, not too drastic however.

My buddy had a Seca2 and for whatever reason it felt like a big scooter to me.
