Happy New (to me) Bike Day!

Hello All!
I managed late yesterday to trade-in my B-King on a bike that will hopefully be much more practical. We'll see if I keep this bike for more than a year. It takes me about that long (5000 or so miles) to figure out if I'm going to keep a bike or not.
The new (to me) bike - Yamaha FZ 6.
I can't believe how close my knees are together when riding this bike.

Grats, and that was pretty quick from when I first saw you mention it over in your blog. Were you debating for a while before you mentioned it there or everything just fell into place that quickly?

Congrates on the new bike, Dude.
I have a feeling you will like this bike better than the B-king for the kind of riding you like to do.
Wut, no ABS....

not sure if you already have a set of sliders or not... but i have a set of t-rex sliders i'm not going to use. i have an engine guard and they were going to be too much work to get them to be usable. i think i paid like $25.00 shipped to me. can't find them on ebay right now to verify that though. if you're interested i'll ship 'em to you for $25.00. just let me know. if not i was going to post them on craigslist and the fz6 forum to get 'em out of the way.

If you're gonna use it as a commuter suggest you invest in some hard luggage. Givi stuff may be a little pricey, but it's waterproof, secure, and lightweight. And it may look a little dorky on the bike (especially a topbox) but there's no beating the practicality.
Plus, there's the "hard luggage speed radar invisibility" factor.....

Seems a pretty odd change for me, but sometimes (at odd moments and odd topics) I've made fast decisions that involve quite a bit of changes. I really just thought about it, decided it made sense, and did it.
I don't know if you remember when I first joined Totalmotorcycle before I'd taken the MSF and bought my first bike - but I was forever thinking about it - and what to get, and probably wouldn't have decided as fast as I did with the exception that Brackstone wanted to sell his bike and it was what I was ready to ride. That whole decision (then) could have been a couple more tortuous months on the forum. hehe. It was good that they had the FZ6 there. They did offer to give me the money and no tax consequence - for a little while - if they didn't have anything I wanted.

Grats!
I think I posted a while ago that it seemed like you weren't all that into the B-King, I'm curious to see if you like this one better of if you turn out to be like a woman with a shoe fetish
