Today I saw the most amazing thing. I was at the Insurance Brokers, getting my bike insurance for the year, and the Insurance dude tying up the paperwork was the fastest two fingered typer in west.
Usually it is a painstaking process for the typing inept.
So really, how many of you can type with all fingers, without looking at the keyboard?

Untrue. I got the fastest 2 flying fingers in West! You can't even see them move, it's just a blur....

i can type most things without looking at all, but numbers and some special characters i have to look to make sure i'm hitting the right keys. pretty much all the letters, though, i can either look at the screen or around the room while i'm typing and not mess anything up.

Learned touch typing back in High School long before the advent of the PC.

I've gotten out of practice, used to be able to do 100 WPM, but now down to 60-70 depending on what I'm doing. Unless of course I have ridiculous amounts of caffeine in my system, then I'm up to probably 400 on a conservative estimate.

I took a keyboarding class in high school and can still type about 40 wpm. Okay, that's not fast but at least I don't have to look at the keyboard and I erase my mistakes right away (that habit gets ingrained because in class we couldn't pass a typing test if there were ANY mistakes!).
I creep people out at work because if they come up to my desk when I'm typing I will turn to look at them and listen to them while I finish up the sentence I was on. They look at me really weird...

I use thumbs for the space bar and various other fingers for the characters... looking away from the keyboard results in.... idnc;xnskdfbxvnf;wdfhnvn,m
