riding superstitions/ritials?

#1 Unread post by iwannadie »

does anyone have any ritials or superstitions that effect how you ride?

i have some stupid ritials i always go through before riding, like putting my left glove on first. always putting my keys in my right pocket while riding. i know theres more that i cant think of right now.

its stupid mental stuff but it distracts me if i dont do it ahha, if im riding and my keys are in the wrong pocket i think about that too much and get distracted.

I always wear my underwear backwards, walk around the bike counter clockwise 4 times, kneal down rub the front tire for 30 seconds, lick the left mirror for 10, mount the bike with my right leg first, ring the bell on my handle bar 6 times, play wipe out on the gas tank, then scream eye yi yi yi yi yi yi!!!! at the the top of my lungs.. then start the bike and ride off.

But other than that nothing out of the ordinary.

I've noticed that I always get ready in the same order:
  • Under clothes
  • Leather trousers
  • Boots
  • Leather Jacket and then zip two piece together
  • Ear plugs
  • Helmet on and fasten
  • Zip up jacket
  • Right glove
  • Left glove
