Does averybody remember their first fall off of a bike? I do. I wasn't even on the road. It was the second or third time I rode it and when I came back home someone was in my driveway backing out, as well as someone behind me. So, I went next door to my neighbors to turn around. I pulled in..... SPLAT! My bike turned over! I have no idea how, but it just fell. The car behind me stopped and stared at me til I got it picked up. They didn't offer help, just rubber neckin'. I was embarrased and ticked. :censored: My legs were very shaky after that, but I soon got over it. I'm glad my first tipover was in a driveway and not in a real wreck, but man did I feel stupid! :wallbash: I know there has to be a few people that have done something like this or worse. Do tell.

Well, I haven't dumped my bike yet, knock on wood. However, one of my first experiences on a bike was my friends dirtbike. I was going slow, learning to ride and came up to a pile of dirt. I think we were in a field or something a farmer had just tilled. Anyways, I was being the cautious individual that I am and approached it head on. I was going too slow. Hit the pile, came to a dead stop and promptly fell over sideways. No traffic around, but plenty of my friends were there to laugh at me.

I dropped my bike the second day I had it. In my driveway though. I thought I had the side stand down all the way and didn't. Ooopss. As I swung my leg over to get off the bike, the side stand zinged back up and over we went. I got it back up right away but not before a few scratches and dents were put in it. Luckily I bought it used.

I hope that is the only time I drop my bike.

Second week I had the bike. Tried to make a left turn from a stop sign. Killed the motor just off the line and over it went. I was able to assist it to the ground so no damage and I didn't fall with it.

The first time I took my bike out I was pulling up to a stop to take a sharp right hand turn,I could see both ways(this was out in the country)so I decided to ease right through it.Well we just had several days of hard rain and it had washed a pile of gravel on to the road and before I knew it I was down.I cut my elbow pretty good and broke the ignition cover, but other than that I wasn't too bad off.I was able to get home.
I should have got it cleaned out, because the elbow got infected and ended up costing me about 400.00 in doctor bills.

now ive dropped my bike 3 !@$#@$%! times.

...And i havent even had it for a week yet. Its used, already had some dings, and my drops didn't really do much. The first two were in the grass on my lawn where I was practicing. The other in my garage just now while I was trying to get that bastrd up on the center stand. Its a '82 XJ550 Maxim and at 440lbs its a little heavy for me :/ and I still can't get it on the center stand without putting boards under the rear wheel first.

O Man this happened to me once ... Honda c70 scooter ... coming from 20mph to a stop in a crowded parking lot, the front hit a patch of sand and locked up started skidding ou t of control, so me being young and stupid decide "It's only a scooter, I can stop it w/ my feet ..."

So I drop my sneakered feet to the deck, and the asphalt grabs the rubber of the left shoe, bending it back (mind i'm still traveling at ~15mph) breaking my big toe and pulling my butt off the seat of the bike ... but i'm still holding on to the handlebars for dear life cuz I don't want to drop the bike.

So ... picture this. You're standing around a parking lot when all of a sudden this dude laying belly down on a wobbling, skidding baby blue scooter with his feet dragging behind him blasts by you....

The 1st bike I ever rode, was a Triumph Tiger 500cc. I was 14yrs old, and it was in a wooded area. My problem was I couldnt reach the ground, so the bloke sat on the back of me, for when I pulled away. And as I was getting more confident I opened up the throttle and was getting well into it when the bloke jumped off the back........Woose, but when I finally did bring the bike to a standstill, I couldnt reach the ground, so I had to drop the bike, I didnt have any choice.
