Ya know I used to like the Ducati Multistrada.... But the new one I think is friggen ugly. I think Ducati is going downhilll when it comes to style lately. They were going up for a while but now they are going down hill.

That's just personal taste for ya....

I hate the original MuliStrada's styling. I like the new one much better, but that's all relative too. They both look like mutts next to the HyperMotard (I even kinda like the front fender now) and the new Monsters and Streetfighters are sweet looking machines to my biased eyeballs. :dunno:

I have not seen the new Multi in the flesh so I will reserve judgement. The new Monster is absolutely mfugly. The old Monster was one of the most beautiful bike ever made.

Well, I don't know about looks, but it was reviewed in two of the magazines I get - Rider and another one. Both made me salivate with the level of electronics in it, but the 20K price (before options) made me a bit limp.

Page 72-73 of the May 2010 Motor Cyclist says $19,995. They reviewed it really well and in depth. And said it was worth the 20K. I think it's MUCH better looking than the older ones.

Maybe that was as tested cause the local dealer to me has it for $15,995.

The one that Wrider is talking about is the S Touring model. There are 3 models, the base, the S, and the S Touring. The base model starts at $14,995.

makes sense as I have only been looking at the base model... which is partly why I was assuming the magazine was chosing "as tested" which is normal for a magazine to show a model they tested and give the price "as tested". Most magazines dont "test" and to reviews on the base models.
