I've been thinking lately about roadside assistance for my bike. I used to live in Ohio and wasn't too worried since there wasn't far from home to stray and my dad had a pickup. Then I moved out to Oregon and I plan to do a lot of touring along the coast, and dad's truck is 3,000 miles away.
AAA would require Premier which runs a whopping $142 a year. While searching I stumbled across AMA. For the $39 a year AMA membership they include roadside assistance. Looking at the details it sounds fairly good except the towing limit is 35 miles, versus 200 for AMA premier. But on the plus side it's a lot cheaper. There's no mention of what they charge per mile beyond 35.
So hey, does anyone have this and ever used it? Or anyone know of any alternatives I should check out?

Re: AMA Roadside Assistance
I have it. You have to be on automatic renewal to get the free roadside. I have never used it thankfully.
It also includes all your vehicles including cars.
