A "Motorcycle Club" is usually one that embraces the whole oulaw biker lifestyle, is very territorial and heavily involved/funded by illegal activities. MC's usually have only one brand of motorcycle in their membership ranks, normally Harleys.

A "Riding Club" is a group of motorcycle enthusiasts who ride together with no criminal intent. It usually has many different brands of bikes in the membership, although there are certain groups like HOG, BMWMOA, GWRRA, etc, that focus on one particular brand or model.

I beg to differ just a little bit. My understanding is that while some Motorcycle “Gangs” call themselves “Clubs” they are few and are the 1% outlaw organizations. There are many more “Clubs” which are legal in every way. It was said in some news article a long time ago that only 1% of all bikers are the outlaw ones, which is where the phrase and patch originated. Some adopted the name “Riders Club” to further differentiate themselves from the outlaw clubs. At least that is how I have heard it explained.

See, in the unlikely event that we are riding and meet a real MC, provided they make sense, they get in return. Sacrifice understand that these guys have done to become actual members of the MC, I grew up about 1% of the friends (my father). Raw Company CIS is a running club, is not an MC, we have two clubs brother, Mile High in Denver and madness SHOGUNZ in Oregon. There could be a woman in Oregon ERC Starting, if all goes well. Apparently, in Colorado, you must have permission to be a running club. Here in Wyoming, I do not think anyone cares. We are not a threat to the rider, "" lifestyle. We are riding and having fun.

Are the patches or colors regulated by the motorcycle clubs. I here that a round patch has to be OKed.???
Seems a little extreme.
