Hey guys, First post. Is it illegal to drive a motorcycle without insurance in the state of washington just like its illegal to drive w/o insurance in a car?

If it is a licensed vehicle of any kind , I would certainly think so . Of course you will find out when you attempt to register one .

Same in Cali., but I just did a change of owner/registration, and they didn't ask for insurance....I guess it doesn't count when you've just bought the bike.

No in washington you can ride with out insurance. But it's obviously not a good idea to not at the least have liability. All the surrounding states including canada requires it though so who's to know what happens if you try to cross a boarder.

Ok Peeps ,
The real nitty gritty is that MC Insurance is really reasonable . My spousette and I have 3 bikes insured and it costs us $81.00 USD a year . That's with Foremost .
Not an ad , just the best deal around .
Kind regards, Wizzard 8)
