Suzuki Intruder vs 800

#1 Unread post by society909 »

I recently bought an 02 vs800 and I got a sweet deal on it. It has only 4000 miles on it and looks brand new paid $2200 for it. I didn't get any manuals with it so I have some questions for anybody who might know a little bit about it.
I found the tool storage compartment in the back rest is their any other compartments I don't know about? Dose the seats raise up to get to anything underneath them? Is their a tank to check the radiator level or do I have to remove the radiator cover to get to it?
Thanks I am sure I will have more questions soon.

Any reputable motorcycle shop has, or can get you a service manual for your bike.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

or if there's no shops nearby, you can probably order one off bikebandit.

i've never owned a suzuki at all, so have no idea about your other questions. i'd assume there's a small storage area under the seat, there is on most bikes. that'd be a good place to look for the manual, actually, but i have no idea how to get under the seat without looking at the bike. unless you can see a different way to get to the radiator fill cap, you'll have to remove either the radiator cover or possibly some side covers to get to it. again, i'd have to be able to see the bike in person to be able to help you out on that one.

Maybe Wrider can help as he is a Suzuki certified silver level. Contact him by PM or waiting for him to reply here.

Ya just had to call me out didn't ya... haha
I don't know specifically for that bike if there are any extra storage compartments, but if I had to guess there would be one behind the plastic side covers underneath the seat. Otherwise I'd say there aren't any other storage compartments.
