ignition park

I was just wondering if anybody ever uses the park position on their ignition switch? It seams almost every bike has this and all it dose as far as I know is leave your running lights on. On my Suzuki the ignition switch is on the side of the motor if I accidentally turn it up instead of down I will come back to a dead battery if it sits there long enough. Is this a feature they use in other countries or something? I just don't see a use for it here.

When parking on the side of the road it lets you put on your flashers without having the headlight on. Allows you to use any added electronics without the same headlight drain.

Meh- can't think of too much more but I use it from time to time. You can always inactivate it with some electrical tinkering

Ok I get it its like the accessory 0n a car ignition I guess if I had a radio on it and wanted to listen to it while parked. On my Vmax you had to push down on the key to get it there. On this Suzuki its just too easy to put it there without realizing it. I am trying to be more careful with it now its a new bike to me and I am still getting use to it. Thanks
