I assume with the intro of the XR1200X now in the US, the XR1200R is going to get axed which is fine as the X is more of what the R should have been in the first place. What I don't understand is the decision to delete the orange one. With the blacked out engine of the X, the orange one would have been the perfect color choice. :?

Hmmm... that is odd, I thought the orange scheme was a big sales success. Wonder why they axed it?

Saw some rumours on another site about three new Road Glide models, including a long overdue Ultra version. There's so many batwings out there now that Harley must be looking to flood the roads with the shark noses. :)

The rumor I hear all the time is Harley is going to introduce a "crotch rocket". They could do that with something from MV Agusta, but it wouldn't be a long-stoke v-twin. They could have used Buell's 1125 Rotax powerplant but they wasted that one. I don't see it happening.

Makes no sense. Especially since the bike is supposed to be paying tribute to the XR750.

Unless the idiot Wandell thinks orange is the racing colors of KTM.

I'm sure Erik Buell isn't going to disappear. Once Feb 2011 comes, I'm sure we will hear from him again. :kicking:

Yes, but it won't be a Harley product.

I know the economy was tuff but HD should have never let go of Buell. I had a 1996 S2T new, rode it for 11-12 years and loved it. Wicked on the twisties.

That's not necessarily a bad thing.
