I was looking for a place to stop and chat, so decided to google 'motorcycle forums', and here I am!
I'm a motorcyclist from way back, having grew up with the local BMW rider's club. When I was of legal age, I got my first motorcycle and immediately started racking up the miles, starting with 2,000 km in the first month, 5,000 km the next, then 10,000 km after that.
Through high school I started my planning to fulfil what was then my life's dream, to hit the highway and live off my bike touring the continent and seeing the world. After I graduated, that's exactly what I did.
I packed all my worldly possessions, and threw away what I didn't need, and headed south (I hail from Alberta, Canada). I went round and round through the United States, Mexico, and Canada for 5 years, wintering in the south and travelling the north in the summer, until I started to sort of settle down. I spent a few years after that wintering in Key West, Florida (where I was a radio personality on a hit radio show syndicated in 16 cities throughout the US), and in the summer returning to my hometown to teach motorcycle safety and riding techniques.
After irreversable politics in the 'safety scene', and a desire to build a more solid financial future, I went back to school to learn the art of advertising graphic design and layout. That is what I do now.
I have had about 8 motorcycles, mostly larger Japanese bikes which afford comfortable long-distance riding, lots of packing space, and good handling in the twisties, all for a price you could afford selling tacos from the Sonata Free Zone.

That's all I have to say, I'm sure I've said too much already.

I'm looking forward to chatting to you all about my first love - one which I fear has slipped by the wayside, but it's all coming back to me now.
