The more I ride my Honda the more I realize how uncomfortable the stock seat is. Part of the problem is the way it’s sloped in the back of the seat. It rises up at a slant mid-seat which really puts pressure on the tailbone on long rides. I decided to do something about it (without spending 450 dollars on a Mustang Seat). I followed the instructions at www.sa750.com. If your interested, follow the links on modifications, saddle, stock seat. This site was for an ACE 750 while my bike is a shadow aero 750.
I wish I had taken some pictures, but so far I’m happy with the results. It will take me a couple days to decide if I was succesful.
Next up, I really need to do something about the footpegs. I'd love some floorboards, but money is really tight. sigh...

It's cool that you were able to modify your seat. I can see from your avatar what you mean about the slope - that would get uncomforable. I have a different problem; my seat is just too hard. However... my dad's wife hand made a seat for one of his motorcycles (she has a heavy duty sewing set up for other projects that she does). I'm going to see what ideas we can come up with for my seat before I invest in a Mustang seat. Hope we'll see your "after" pics soon. Good job!
