ok ive been trying to find a decent pair of riding gloves and they all seem to claim that they are leather. but they really arent. my pair of icon had genuine leather and stuff all over the package and eventually fell apart. once they fell apart i see the tag in the glove that says they are like 5% leather 95% some other materials. then i barrowed a pair of joe rocket gloves and they are the same thing, a small percent leather the rest cheap stuff. seems like small patchs on the palm are leather usually.

are any gloves out there made fully of leather? im sick of gloves literally falling apart on me, i wish i had pics of my icon gloves and how they ripped in so many places because the material was so thin.

Typically sport biker gloves won't be full leather. However if you start looking at bike shows you'll usually find some guy selling cheap leather gear. Jackets, chaps, gloves, hats etc etc etc. All of that stuff is full leather, though probably not in the style you're looking for. Or even the quality, stuff at those places can be pretty cheap.

Considering how long your hands are going to be scraping across the ground in the event of a crash it's not as important to be wearing full leather. You'll either break a finger or other part of your hand and have it come out of contact with the concrete, or never have it hit at all. I've got one little scuff on the palm of one of my gloves. It took me a month to notice it.

Right now the pair I'm wearing is 50% synthetic leather, 40% nylon, 5% PVC and 5% TVR. They work perfectly, and are surprisingly warm. $40 Canadian at Canadian Tire. This is their second season in use with no problems.

im not worried about protecting in a crash. but just holding up against wear and tear, it seems the cheaper material just falls apart on me. i like my gloves fairly tight and the thin materials just rip literally apart, not even on a seam. the finger tip of my last pair wore out way to fast and left a huge hole on the finger. they only lasted maybe 4 months before falling apart. my other joe rocket gloves did similar wearing. im thinking of trying the icon gloves now they seem a little heavier. theres gotta be a sport glove thats leather though and not this fake junk.

I bought mine at a leather store and they are 100% leather. I bought them 3 years ago at a season end sale for $25. Boutique of leather was the store. Not a stitch has fallen out yet.
