Trade a Buell Blast for a Suzuki Katana?

I know I'm gonna get a lot of comments saying it depends on the previous owner (and I know it does) but unfortunately, I don't personally know the previous owner.

I just bought a used Buell Blast a few months ago as my first bike. It runs great but honestly, I've outgrown it, and since I stand at about 6'2 it's a little small for me. I found a used Katana 600 that a guy might be willing to trade-and-sale with me for.

The thing is, the Blast has about 1400 miles on it and the Katana has 18000. I don't know much about their reliability records, so can anybody help me decide if this will be a good trade? Or if this is a good bike in general?

Suzuki has made a lot of bikes called "Katana" over a number of years. We need to know which year Katana you're considering to give you a good answer.

Ummmm honestly it's a pretty good engine, but the carbs are problems on those. If the carbs haven't been messed with too much I'd consider it, but if he's trading down to a Blast I'd really wonder what was wrong with the bike before I traded.

The Katana is a heavy and awkward bike, especially compared to the Blast.
Did you test ride it?

How much cash does the guy want on top of the '03 Blast for his '06 Katana?
