Welcome! I'm looking forward to the pics of your rig; I have a '79 Dnepr sidecar rig myself.

Caravelle's were built in Mexico in the late '70's. They were direct, reverse-engineered copies of earlier Honda Elsinor motocrossers. They even painted them to look just like the Hondas. But built to the same fine, exacting standards that Mexican tourist nic-nacs are known for. With whatever they could drag in off the street and melt down for raw material. They stand among a select group competeing for the crappiest bikes ever built. Many blew-up in the dealers showrooms while the customers were being shown how to start them(but only after they were purchased  ). They were also famous for extremely soft and bendable frames(unfortunately for you).

That's the only Caravelle I ever heard about..... maybe there was another outfit with that name making bikes at one time...... maybe.

Welcome to the site!!!!

Man that caravelle doesn't sound too appetizing from the last post here...haha.

Hopefully they look good, cause I'm not sure that I'd want to fly down the highway on one...lol.

good buzz!

Actually, I think Buzz is full of B.S.

I was out mowing the lawn when I was struck with the closest thing to a revelation I ever get......

Them junky Mexican bikes I was thinking of were actually called 'Carabela', not Caravelle.

Sorry 'bout that, I get these braincell walkouts every so often......
