Fuel Injection

Does anyone know when BMW first put fuel injection on their boxer engines? Been trying to find the info for the last couple days but with no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

BMW first put fuel injection in the boxer starting with the Oilhead series introduced in the model year 1993 with the R1100RS. The airheads which they continued to make until 1995 was carburated until the very end.

yeah, looking around at what's available. will be scheduling a test ride to see if it's comfortable for me as the time draws nearer.

Yes, it was in year 1992. Are you planning to buy a boxer? That would be great.
