I thought i'd drop a line to say hello to all. Being as i'm new i'll probably have lots of questions you've heard before but bear with me and we'll get through i'm sure. My current ride is an 82 so its getting a little long in the tooth but as a father of three it's probably the only bike in my foreseeable future. I'm looking to have some fun with it and i don't mind turning a wrench now and then so i'm looking for suggestions.
Thanks

You got a rare bird!

I think Honda only made the 450 Nighthawk for a couple of years. Nice find! Post some pics of it if you have any, we'd love to see it. 8)

Welcome! Are you stationed in Shilo or Winnipeg? I did some time with 1RCHA back in the 80's and did 2nd line support for the PPCLI many times during my Army days (I was in the EME branch).

:welcome:

Welcome cansoldier to the Total Motorcycle community!

The 82' Nighthawk 450 is an excellent bike and the first 450 in the Nighthawk line. I owned the 1980 CB400T Hawk, my wife the 1981 CB400T Hawk. How do you like the Nighthawk 450?

So go ahead and post all your questions as I know you will get some friendly, helpful and useful responces.

Have fun and enjoy!

Mike.

P.S. I remember CFB (Canadian Forces Base) Winnipeg when I was out there for a week staying in the barracks in the summer on-route to the CFB Whitehorse. Ah, nothing like the mosquitoes... Ok, they really were not that bad! LOL.

You have to be kidding right??? They sell leghold traps for mosquitos in Manitoba...

Gummiente...

One of my older brothers was stationed in Shilo and Winnipeg, as PERI staff, years ago. I think he's been stationed as PERI at; Shilo, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Chilliwack, Esquimalt, Sage Hill, and so on... cripes, it's hard to keep track. He's now retired, but one of my younger bro's carries on in the airforce, a bloody Captain even.... He's currently in Borden teaching the next batch of aerospace engineers....

Welcome to the forum cansoldier :)

Remember...it's not what you ride...it's the fact that you do ride! :D

Cheers...

:welcome: fellow 82er!!

I hear ya on the kid/bike situation. I have four kids myself and although it would nice to have a newer ride...the money goes elsewhere for now...

Anyhow, welcome my manitobee brotha!!

I'm a Sgt with 2 PPCLI. Originally from Ontario (town called New Hamburg) I now consider myself a flatlander since i've been in MB since '92. Thanks for the welcome all. I look forward to learning how to post pics so as to let anyone who's interested see my Nighthawk.
I like my little bike fine. It has classic standard style, is good on gas and insurance doesn't kill me.
