With the Garmin Nuvi 500/550-why buy a zumo ?

I just discovered the Nuvi 500 and 550 models which are both water proof, motorcycle friendly but do not have lane assist. Battery life is also 8 hours, not 4 hrs.
They are hundreds less than Zumo's (220 and 660).
What would justfiy the extra 100's for a zumo over a nuvi 500/550 ?
Help need before its too late to buy and get delivered for Christmas. Thanks
