Xena vs. Abus

Hello,
I am trying to decide between 2 chain/lock combinations- Xena XCL Chain Lock and Abus 59 Extreme Granit Plus. Xena combines a lock with an alarm, but it’s more cumbersome to use and the lock appears to be susceptible to a strong blow with a hammer. Abus 59 looks rock-solid, possesses all possible security certificates from the major European countries and is easier to lock/unlock. It is shorter (chain) and does not have an integrated alarm, however. It’s a hard choice to make, especially when you need maximal possible protection (my bike is going to spend a lot of nights on Brooklyn streets)
You input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Out of those 2, I prefer the look of the Granit Extreme, but this is only a personal opinion based on the reccomendations and certificates it has. the sad truth is that no matter what you lock your bike up with, if someone is determined enough, it can be stolen.....

My best suggestion is to use whatever deterrents you can, so, lock/chain and an alarm with visible deterrent may at least help. Also, if you buy ones that are insurance company approved, it should bring the cost of theft insurance down, so at least if it does get stolen, you'll be able to make a claim....

Thank you,
I was also leaning towards Granit Extreme- it definetly appears more solid and the company itself seems to be more credible than Xena. I was also looking into Scorpio bike alarm system with perimeter sensor that gives visible/auditory warning when somebody approaches the bike, and also sends signal to the pager that shows whas't going on on the LCD display. I actually read a pretty nice review on that system on this forum.
Thanks again
