Show your BOOTS!

Yeah, just kick off your shoes and show us your BOOTS!

I have a few faves in my (reduced) collection... boots with some good memories...

Here is a pair that I am particularly fond of for several reasons: comfort and great feel -- they're oldskool race boots, my 2nd or 3rd pair - long since replaced by better stuff. They were the first red ones to match the race leathers. I've also been on the dance floor in 'em, ridden lots of street miles in 'em, wore 'em until they fell apart. Now they are only a keepsake, although a couple days ago I wore them out an about for old times sake. Eddie Lawson used to wear Styl Martin's at one time too, so a tribute to Eddie.

My 1990-era Styl Martin's -- The Italian's know boots!

You'd think a guy saluting from an ol' Ural would have a pair of black army issue boots to show off :D
I have a pair in my collection, but I'm pretty sure they are in my storage container! -- and they SUCK as motorcycle boots so I should just get rid of them. The sole is too hard a compound for the streets, I removed the clickety taps, and they have much worse ankle protection than my old-skool race boots... but they are like steel belted radials I guess: standard issue for cruisin cool i guess.

I'll have to take a photo of my 11 year old boots I wear. Good old steel toe construction boots that I really should be replacing with a new pair as they have been in all types of weather, all around the world and even have some road rash.

I need to find a pair of riding shoes or boots. Currently just wearing my Sketchers :D.

I am the pickiest about shoes, and wear minimalist shoes or as close as possible whenever I possibly can (even when I worked in construction I rarely put my steel toes on, normally got away with it). Id rather risk a broken toe, ripped up ankle, etc... than constant back pain from the wrong pair of footwear. This is what I run in, and wear around when I don't need nice shoes :D.

hilaRIOUS - i like a bit of subversion in the posts -- and sketchers remind me of jetski or surfing apparel--- but yeah, you should invest in some riding boots fer sure... cuz... cheating on the construction site like cheating on the riding gear sometimes makes for a lot worse scenario than a broken toe.

Heck - it even happens when wearing the right gear let alone the super comfy and unprotective stuff... the whole deal is about balancing the need for feel and dexterity with protection when the inevitable happens...

I am debating between three now. The Shift Fuel @ $100, Alpinestar Ridge @ $130 and the Joe Rocket Super Street @ $160. I like the price of the Fuel, like the convenience (so easy to put on and off) and waterproof of the Ridge, and like the Super Street because they fit nice, provide the most protection, and are, well, cool looking :D. I also really want to try the Joe Rocket Velocity, but I am so picky about shoes and cannot find them local to try on...
