Anyone into ink? I have a couple, the first I got at the end of 2010, it is Greek for "Lord Have Mercy" (I do not really speak any Greek, I can pick a little up ). I am Orthodox and it is a common prayer, the Catholic church uses it as well so it is surprising sometimes who recognizes it, and who does not. The second I got when I was 16 or 17, and is fairly obvious. If it is not clear, the first is on my wrist (bottom) and second on my shin.

I would love to get something on my other shin for my Russian heritage, but it will be a little while before I need another tattoo, and I have no idea yet what to get.

I know piercings are sometimes related, my ears are pierced (funny story actually, left one got done when I was thirteen and wanted to die my hair and my parents said no, so I figured I would suggest something worse to make it sound okay, and they were both okay with getting my ear pierced, go figure... had the other one done when I turned eighteen). But wear nothing in either, have my left eyebrow pierced twice about a cm apart or so... and despite regularly pledging to take them out, I have fallen in complete love with them and refuse thus far .

Ha! Thanks, Fireguzzi. I knew there was another related thread around here somewhere! Page 1 of that thread has my chest tattoo, and page 18 has two versions of my firefighter tattoo. I've had a couple more since then, however. I'll post pics later.

You'd think, but actually there are no accidents in my life!! I love every one of my piercings as much as my tattoos... can't really explain why. I have to take out my three facial piercings while I'm on duty at the fire department, but when I'm off duty, they go right back in - even if it's for a short period of time. Weird, I know...
